General Terms and Conditions of Participation & Disclaimer
for hikes and stays with «WOW»
General terms and conditions of business
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) are an integral part of the contract between you as the participant and «WOW» as the organizer, promoter and guide of the offered tours.
The contract is concluded through an oral or written agreement and becomes binding upon full payment.
Scope & Services
«WOW» organizes and accompanies clients on hikes and snowshoe tours. The tours are led by a qualified hiking guide who possesses the necessary professional training and is covered by professional liability insurance.
Participation & Personal Responsibility
Safety is the organizers' top priority. However, outdoor and mountain activities involve natural hazards, which is why a residual risk cannot be completely ruled out.
By registering for a tour offered by «WOW», participants expressly acknowledge these risks.
Participation in my tours is at your own risk. Each participant is responsible for informing themselves about the tour beforehand and choosing one that matches their health, technical skills, and physical condition. Furthermore, they are required to have appropriate, functional equipment suitable for the tour.
Disclaimer
The hiking guide is not liable for accidents, injuries, health problems, or property losses unless caused by intentional or grossly negligent conduct. Participation is at your own risk. Participants are responsible for their own insurance.
It is recommended that each participant has their own health, accident, and repatriation insurance, including mountain rescue (organized rescue and helicopter rescue), as well as liability insurance that also covers accidents in the mountains. Trip cancellation insurance is also strongly recommended.
Safety & Equipment
All participants are required to bring suitable equipment (sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, food, sun protection, etc.). For safety reasons, the instructions of the hike leader must be followed. Anyone behaving in a way that endangers safety may be excluded from the tour.
Cancellation & Refund
Program changes:
I reserve the right to adjust the program due to weather, terrain, safety conditions, or the condition of the participants (equipment, fitness, health). There is generally no minimum number of participants. In such cases, there is no entitlement to compensation.
Cancellation by the organizer:
If I cancel a tour, all payments already made will be fully refunded. No further compensation will be provided. If a necessary program change results in additional costs, participants will be informed in advance and can withdraw free of charge. If the costs are lower, the difference will be refunded. In the event of cancellation due to force majeure, a qualified substitute may be provided.
Cancellation by participants:
The following costs apply in the event of cancellation by participants:
-
Up to 14 days before the start of the tour: 25% of the price
-
Up to 7 days before the start of the tour: 50% of the price
-
Within the last 3 days: 100% of the price
Any additional costs already incurred that cannot be cancelled (e.g. accommodation reservations) are fully payable regardless of when the cancellation occurs.
Aborted after tour start:
From the start of the tour, the price of the current day's stage as well as any additional costs already incurred remain due if the tour has to be terminated.

For stays lasting several days, individuals traveling alone may be required to share their room with other participants if this is necessary for organizational reasons.
